Arrest Records in Boyle County
Boyle County arrests may be made by the Boyle County Sheriff, Danville Police, Junction City Police, Perryville Police, or Kentucky State Police. Countywide dispatch routes calls, but dispatch is not the records custodian. The agency that made the arrest keeps its own incident or arrest narrative. The Boyle County Detention Center keeps the separate intake, bond, custody, and release record after a person is booked.
A booking can include an initial charge before a prosecutor or grand jury acts. District Court handles the first appearance, misdemeanors, and preliminary felony work. An indicted felony moves to Circuit Court. A Boyle County arrest record may therefore differ from the later filed charge and judgment. The current jail entry proves that an intake and custody event was recorded. It does not prove guilt, and it does not replace the court's final disposition.
Boyle County JailTracker Arrest Search
The official Boyle JailTracker roster is the fastest online source for current custody, charge, and bond information. No login is indicated. Search with the most accurate name available, then read the booking date, identifiers, charges, bond, and custody status as a snapshot. The detention center warns that conditions can change and records can contain errors.
A released or transferred person may no longer appear on the current roster. If the name is missing, call the Boyle County Detention Center at 859-238-1100 and ask what older booking information can be released. The jail's open-record email, bcdcopenrecords@boylecountyky.gov, is the written route for older custody records. Kentucky Online Offender Lookup becomes the proper locator if a person entered state corrections.
Note: JailTracker is a current-custody tool, not a complete list of every past Boyle County arrest.
Boyle County Arrest Lookups
Use the record creator for each part of a Boyle County arrest. JailTracker answers current custody. The arresting agency answers what officers documented. KYeCourts and the clerk answer what charge reached court and how it ended. The AOC statewide report supplies a standard Kentucky court-history slice, while Kentucky State Police controls fingerprint-supported personal record review rather than a general public rap-sheet-by-name portal.
- Check Boyle JailTracker for current custody, booking details, charges, and bond.
- If the person is absent, call the jail because release or transfer can remove a name from the current roster.
- Identify the arresting agency and request its incident or arrest report through that agency's records channel.
- Search KYeCourts, then call District at 859-239-7362 or Circuit at 859-239-7442 to verify the filed case.
- Use AOC FastCheck or One-Time Request for a compiled statewide court-history report, or KOOL for state corrections status.
- Submit a focused written open-record request when a releasable agency record is not online.
AOC reports cost $25 before the card surcharge. FastCheck requires registration and keeps results available for 30 days. One-Time Request results arrive by U.S. mail and have no status check or expedite. Neither product substitutes for same-day Boyle County booking data or the arresting agency's narrative.
Boyle County Arrest Record Custodians
One 911 center serves the local agencies, yet each agency keeps its own report. Boyle Sheriff requests go to the sheriff. Danville Police reports go through the city's records clerk or form. Junction City and Perryville publish city and police contacts but no dedicated self-service records portal. A KSP arrest report should be requested from KSP, not from a city counter.

Custody and jail open records
The detention center's official justice-contact list collects the jail open-record route and related Boyle County numbers.
That source helps direct a booking question to the jail while keeping court, supervision, and agency-report questions with their actual custodians.
Arrest Records: What They Contain
A Boyle County booking profile can display the person's name, booking or inmate identifier, booking date and time, age, sex, race, current charges, bond amount or type, custody location, status, and a photograph when that field is public. Visible fields can change. Sensitive medical or internal classification data should not be expected. The arresting agency's report holds the event narrative, while the jail record focuses on intake and custody.
| Booking identifier | Connects the intake to the jail's custody record. |
|---|---|
| Booking date and time | Marks when the detention intake was recorded. |
| Arresting agency | Identifies the office to ask for the arrest narrative. |
| Initial charges | Shows allegations entered at booking, which can later change. |
| Bond | May show the amount, type, and release conditions then on file. |
| Photograph | May appear as a booking field, subject to public display and release limits. |
| Custody or release status | Shows the current roster status when available. |
Names and dates can help match a booking to a court case, but the court case number is the stronger link once charges are filed. Record a charge description and booking date, then compare them with the Boyle County docket. Do not treat matching names alone as conclusive identity.
Boyle County Arrests: First 24 Hours
After arrest, the jail records intake, identification, property, fingerprints, booking charges, bond, and custody status. Boyle County pretrial staff interview each inmate within 24 hours. The detention bond page says amounts and conditions are generally returned by 1 p.m. daily. District Court then handles the initial appearance and early case work, while a felony may later move through grand jury to Circuit Court.
The Boyle County bond information page lists recognizance, unsecured or surety, partially secured, bail credit when authorized, and cash as possible release types.
The official source places bond information in the first-day custody timeline, but only the current court or jail entry can confirm terms for a specific Boyle County case.

Recent Boyle County Bookings
JailTracker is the official-linked recent-booking and current-custody channel. It can show who is held now and the booking data the jail makes public. The roster is not a lasting arrest archive. Entries may change as a bond is posted, a person is released, a charge is amended, or custody transfers to another system. Absence from the list proves neither that no arrest occurred nor that a prior charge ended in conviction.
Call the detention center when a recent Boyle County arrest no longer appears. For a past booking file, describe the person, approximate booking date, and exact records sought in a jail open-record request. For the officer narrative, contact the arresting agency instead. For the filed charge and disposition, use KYeCourts and the clerk. These checks prevent a current roster from being stretched beyond what it can show.
Boyle County Arrest Bond Records
Bond entries can change and must be confirmed with the current custodian. On weekdays, Boyle County monetary bonds go to the Circuit Clerk on the courthouse third floor from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clerk accepts cash or a certified cashier's check, and cards apply only to 10% bonds. Property bonds and bonds of $10,000 or more go only to the clerk.
The official Boyle County jail fee page explains the weekend and holiday payment route.
Weekend or holiday jail payments can use cash or card and add a $25 filing fee, a $25 administrative booking fee, and a $13 jail fee. The person posting bond must have photo identification, be at least 18, and cannot be an attorney or law-enforcement officer.
Boyle County Booking Follow-Up
Custody records continue after intake through visits, mail, phone funds, commissary, release, or transfer. These operational records do not change the charge outcome, yet they can help confirm which facility currently handles contact. Boyle County video visits run daily from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and residents receive two free 15-minute visits per seven days.
The detention center's visitation rules document the public video-visit channel.
The schedule is a custody service, not a measure of court status. Verify that the person remains at the Boyle County Detention Center before relying on it.
Boyle County Booking Mail Rules
Since July 17, 2023, ordinary mail uses the detention center's Highland Heights scanning address, while legal mail and money orders use the physical jail. The official Boyle County mail policy explains that split.
The separate addresses show why current jail instructions should be checked before sending material tied to a Boyle County booking.
Boyle County Arrest Record Requests
The Boyle County sheriff policy accepts written requests by email, mail, or hand delivery at 321 W Main Street. An emailed request needs a mailing address and electronic signature. The policy names Chief Deputy Kyle Lyons as custodian, but older text on the page shows another email. The newer county form lists k.lyons@boylecountyky.gov. Confirm the current submission address at 859-238-1123 before sending a Boyle County arrest request.
Electronic production is free. If responsive sheriff material exceeds 8 MB, the office automatically uses a mailed CD for $10 plus postage. Paper costs 10 cents per page plus postage. In-person inspection is scheduled and monitored. Kentucky Open Records Act material says the agency generally has five days, excluding weekends and legal holidays, to respond, but that response may give a processing plan rather than the record itself.
Ask for a specific existing item, such as an arrest report tied to an agency, date, report number, or known incident. A broad question does not require the agency to create a new report. Jail records use the detention custodian, and judicial case files use the Boyle County Circuit Court Clerk rather than the county's general form. If an eligible arrest still appears after an expungement order, allow the agencies time to act, then send the order and a correction request to the agency displaying it.
Boyle County Warrants and Arrests
Boyle County has no verified official active-warrant list or warrant-only public database. JailTracker is not a warrant search. To check a possible warrant tied to your own case, call the sheriff at 859-238-1123 for releasable execution information, District Court at 859-239-7362 for misdemeanor, traffic, bench-warrant, and preliminary felony dockets, or Circuit Court at 859-239-7442 for felony-court warrants.
KYeCourts may show a public warrant or failure-to-appear event, case number, issuing court, underlying charge, status, and public bond conditions. Sealed warrants, juvenile matters, and unexecuted investigative material may not appear. Confirm the issuing court, case number, current status, and bond terms before appearing to resolve a possible warrant. A court recall clears the warrant; deleting or changing an online entry is not the legal act, and database updates can lag.
Arrest Records vs Conviction Records
A Boyle County arrest record and a conviction record answer different questions. Law enforcement documents the arrest. The jail documents booking and custody. The court decides what charge is filed and whether it ends in conviction, dismissal, diversion, acquittal, or another outcome. A statewide AOC report compiles qualifying Kentucky court history, but it omits several categories and all federal matters.
| Arrest record | Conviction record |
|---|---|
| Created by the arresting agency and jail | Entered through the court case and judgment |
| Shows an enforcement and booking event | Shows a formal finding of guilt on a charge |
| Lives with the agency, jail, or current roster | Lives with the clerk and qualifying statewide systems |
| Can be followed by release, no filing, dismissal, or changed charges | Can be followed by sentence, appeal, or eligible expungement |
The Boyle County court case lookup is the proper next step for pleas, motions, disposition, judgment, and sentence. KRS 61.878 and Kentucky expungement law can restrict or later remove eligible information, so a stale booking entry should not be used as a substitute for the current court result.
Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and a Boyle County booking may never lead to a conviction.
